Horticulture Center
Yellowstone Boys and Girls Ranch is fortunate to have a horticulture center located on the main residential campus. The greenhouse buildings were donated by a generous friend and have been in operation since the fall of 2005.
The Herbert J. Poetzl Horticultre Center offers opportunities for learning through classes at Yellowstone Academy and voluntary employment for youth in the life skills program.
The greenhouses are capable of producing a wide range of horticultural products for floral, nursery and retail outlets. The primary products are seasonal blooming and bedding plants. The facility is also capable of producing pre-finished plant material for other greenhouses and nurseries. The greenhouses have a total of 13,680 square feet.
