The Morning Thought by Pastor John Jamison

Good Morning,

50 years ago today the largest earthquake ever recorded in the Rocky Mountains hit near Yellowstone Park. In one location at YBGR there still exists evidence of the damage that was caused. It serves as a reminder of the awesome power of God. Psalm 104:32 states, “God looks at the earth and it trembles. He touches the mountains and they smoke.” The NIV Study Bible end notes comment: “God is so much greater than His creation that with a look or a touch He can undo it.”

As we enjoy the amazing qualities of God’s creation during these beautiful school-break August days, let’s be reminded of His power over all that concerns us. Lord, thank You that You will accomplish that which concerns us. (Psalm 138:8)
