Educational Program Services

Yellowstone Academy integrates education, behavioral support, and clinical services to create a comprehensive learning experience for children and adolescents. We collaborate with school districts to provide:

Residential Education

Yellowstone Academy provides therapeutic educational programming for youth ages 11-18 in residential care at Yellowstone Boys & Girls Ranch. We offer a full academic schedule that balances structured learning and treatment, including:

Core subjects:
Science, Mathematics, English, Social Studies, and Physical Education

Electives:
Fine arts, music, practical arts, health, and business education

Vocational opportunities:
Small engine repair, metals, horticulture, and woodworking

Blended & virtual learning:
Expanded electives and advanced courses through GradPoint

Day Treatment Education

Yellowstone Academy’s Day Treatment Program serves K-12 students who face emotional, behavioral, or learning challenges and need a structured, therapeutic environment.

Focus Areas:

✔ Managing anger and impulsivity
✔ Strengthening communication and social skills
✔ Developing problem-solving abilities

This program provides a continuum of care, combining:

  • Educational instruction
  • Individual & group therapy
  • Family therapy (available upon request)
  • Access to licensed therapists, school counselors, and psychologists

Day Treatment Learning & Activities:

  • Daily Physical Education
  • STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) programming
  • Vocational technology training
  • Recreational center with indoor and outdoor activities
  • Advanced & expanded electives through GradPoint

Each day treatment classroom is staffed by a certified special education teacher, behavioral specialists, and para-educators, ensuring a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment.
